Exactly! You perfectly describe what I am always trying to tell people. I'm playing Cosette in a regional production of Les Mis, and people are always telling me how stupid and pointless she is. But in my opinion, Cosette represents what Les Mis is about. She represents the love, the light that the entire cast is fighting to protect. So if you hate Cosette, I don't think you truly understand what Les Mis is about. Thank you for understanding! It's refreshing.
