We certainly have gotten spoiled on the camera when it comes to accuracy of spacing. Most good models are gonna hold that pose 20 minutes if your lucky. I do miss it. The camera does lie though color wise because of limited white points, its interpretation of what is there. It might be a tad esoteric but for me the digital realm cannot possibly capture the analog realm, the vivaciousness of the subject and the nervous systems translation can make even a stick drawing look good.
I wanted to challenge you some what because You have offered so much to the community, and your skill is great. Have you ever thought of moving beyond the beautiful into the realm of the symbolic. Such as the pre-raphaelites, or the oddness of Rene Magritte? Or even primitive or impressionistic genre?? Just to stretch in an alien direction? These are mere suggestions which you can choose to ignore. I have enjoy your material, and this is the only gift I can give you. I consider myself a terrible artist, but for some odd reason I am good teacher and I can always see possibilities of improvement.

thanks for sharing.. yes! I'm always interested in going in new directions w my work. I actually want to get more into story telling, rather than just painting a pretty picture.
I'll see where this takes me!

And the nose tip reflection is there, as always! XD It's actually unbelievable how close this is to your brushwork with digital media, although I'd honestly prefer your digitized artwork over traditional. Do you struggle a lot when you switch like that, in terms of painting? I know for me it's always been a completely bipolar experience.

hah yup, there it is XD In most life painting lighting situations, that highlight is there. (At least for the lighting setups from classes and life drawing sessions with one main light source lit from above.)
I find that oil painting and digital painting are pretty easy to transition between- as far as how the strokes feel and my approach to them. Because for me they are both painting mediums. Rather than a detailed technical approach like pencil sketches, I go into both pretty much the same. (Painting with the big masses then gradually working to smaller areas.)
What I find difficult sometimes is actually going back and forth between a big, broad approach (like painting in masses with big shapes, very freely), then getting to detail work and having to be very careful and precise. I find that transition more difficult. Sometimes I separate the process, and do big work one day, and small details later. I just need some time of rest in between to make the switch in my mind lol.
