You know I usually don't get love for inorganic life forms and living ones. Like Wanda and the Vision I never got that but this two I get it some how.

Aya is a robot (which is kinda weird), but this is obviously a canon couple and had much better couple development than Makorra so I like it :3

I can't get enough of these two, seriously. I've only just finished the current episodes of Green Lantern, but these two, THESE TWO make the waiting all the more difficult!
This fanart is just so beautiful! I love how Razer's limper/more relaxed body rely's on Aya to hold him up, such a glorious relationship of body language. I adore your smooth lines and cell shading. Wonderfully done!!

When I watched the most recent episode today and Razer teleported from the Star Sapphires to save Aya, I was thinking "Aw, he really does like her that way."
Nice work on these two.

A show that continually amazes me with how good it is. My only qualm? A lot of their attempts at humor. When all is dramatic they're at their best, but so many of their jokes fall flat.

Me personally I dont like the animated series they completely ruin the Image of the Red Lantern corp the went as far as Changing ther oath Red Lanterns are supose to be Very Feral and can barley talk and there not supose to remove there Ring or they will Die. however i do like this pairing and its intresting how are they goin to turn out

Zephyros-Phoenix In reply to Siege24 [2012-05-17 20:18:47 +0000 UTC]
Well, you have to remember that the demographic and standards of entertainment are very different for comics and cartoons. For comics, you can easily show gore, character deaths and guns, but that's not exactly the same for cartoons, especially those aimed at a younger audience. Now you can argue that children read comics too, but I imagine that their parents keep them from reading the more teen and adult rated ones. But that's a whole other issue.
That, and it's a completely different context to tell the story. Cartoons and motion pictures are a very different media for telling stories compared to novels and comics. They'll have to change a few things in order to accomadate for the different story telling style and to effectively tell the story.

i do agree with u with the child friendly thing but it would make alot more sense to use the sinestro corp to be the main antagonist the the red lanterns
π: 0 β©: 1
Zephyros-Phoenix In reply to Siege24 [2012-05-19 00:51:50 +0000 UTC]
To be honest, I like that the Sinestro Corps isn't the main baddies. We always see them when we see anything Green Lantern related in generic Justice League shows and not a lot of people know much about the other corps. This show is the chance for those corps to shine.

Siege24 In reply to Zephyros-Phoenix [2012-05-19 03:39:48 +0000 UTC]
still red lanterns are completely mis represented children show or not
π: 0 β©: 2
Zephyros-Phoenix In reply to Siege24 [2012-05-19 03:45:54 +0000 UTC]
Yes, but remember that all the violent stuff Red Lanterns do/are capable of aren't exactly suitable content for a cartoon aimed at children, impressionable children, I might add. Besides, it's an "adaptation," based on the original Green Lantern comics, not the exact same thing.
π: 0 β©: 1
Siege24 In reply to Zephyros-Phoenix [2012-05-19 03:53:11 +0000 UTC]
they dont have to be too violent just more feral and keep some sort of consistency like not being allowed to remove the Ring give more of a reason why Razer can just get rid of it there a reason why Red lantern wer made mindless feral monster read the Red Lantern Corp comics it will explain it...all i sayin there shouldnt take out main characteristic of a group or a character that like having batman parents never getting killed
π: 0 β©: 1
Zephyros-Phoenix In reply to Siege24 [2012-05-19 05:14:55 +0000 UTC]
If they stayed completely true to how the Red Lantern corps really is and the death via ring removal, they could easily have a mob of angry mothers on their hand. I'm sure it's common knowledge that parents often blame the media when their kids start misbehaving. Also, what happens to the user when removing a power ring is not as big of a detail as Batman's parents never having been killed. The former is just a feature of the generic Red Power Ring whereas the latter is what created the superhero identity of Batman in the first place.
