Scenario: 
After another failed attempt to swoon Minnie, Mortimer was later approach by his cousin Megavolt (in my canon) and his girlfriend Kate to spend Christmas with them instead. In the end, they went to Kate's mansion with a homemade Christmas dinner and watching Christmas special on the television.
