Hey homies, I haven't been on here in a WHILE. Also, I need to practice side-views more lol

Name: Etsuko Moonbeam

Gender: Female

Species: Wolf/fox/dog mix. She has a little bit of dog on both sides of her family but her dad's side is mostly wolf while her mom's is mostly fox.

Fur Color: Light blonde with some minor fur mutations (the black spots on her paws and her black ear, the white and black leg/tail markings are from the fox side of the family). The moons are special markings passed down by the Moonbeam Pack and the hearts on her ears are painted on. The heart on her chest is just a heart shaped marking and it's technically white but it sometimes turns black. When it turns black, Etsuko feels as if her heart is straight up gone and all that's there is an empty void. This causes her physical discomfort that can be soothed by holding a person, pillow or plushie.

Eyes: Bright blue (dog genes)

Status: Married

Personality: Etsuko is a survivor and strives for perfection in all she does. She's the type who will make a list of all the things between her and her goals (or her friends and their goals) and get them done one-by-one. She's not very observant though and is in fact pretty oblivious. She tends to have a fairly one-tracked mind and struggles with sudden changes in her focus. Deep down, she's very emotional and confused, but the world doesn't treat people like that well so she keeps those things to herself. She has so many walls. So. Many. Walls. She even keeps herself out with walls and doesn't even know how to just be herself anymore. She would absolutely kill if she had to, but avoids violence when she can.

Pack: Moonbeam Pack, highly respected in the wolf community, the Moonbeam pack is known for being fierce warriors, wise healers and creative bards. Most of the time, the Moonbeam Pack functions nocturnally.

TW: She was in a war and had trauma from that and I go into a bit of it here. She also didn't have the best homelife before the war either tbh.

Bio: Etsuko was the only one who survived her litter. Her mother and father had both had litters with previous mates but she was the only one from both of them. Her father had left the pack long ago, but all Etsuko's siblings had gone back to join it again. Early in life, Etsuko learned that in order to have friends and be loved or even tolerated, she had to do whatever others wanted her to do. Thankfully, no one realized this was her point of view and never exploited her as much as they could of but the damage was still done. Then, when she was still fairly young, a war began. Her parents took her and fled to a small country that wasn't part of the war, but soon even they weren't immune. Her family was always planning for how to survive the war if they were attacked and one fateful day, it happened. Animals were slaughtering each other and for what? Nothing, really. Etsuko was separated from her parents and was just trying to do what she could to make it out of the warzone alive. She ended up being recruited to bury the dead along with some other survivors. It was horrible to look at the dead and know they suffered. After the dead were taken care of, she and the others were made to do any odd jobs that were needed. Did the troops need food? She and the other survivors would feed them. Did they need to clean filthy uniforms after a battle to prevent disease? They were on the job. After the war was finally over, Etsuko went to the countryside to start a small farm and live in peace. She often feels like she isn't doing enough and feels guilt for things out of her control. (like that others died while she got to live) She often copes with things by burying herself in games, books, honestly anything to not be alone with her thoughts. She's also an introvert and needs to be alone with her thoughts sometimes though so that's fun.

I might come back and edit things later so they're better but yeah, this is Etsuko. Also, just a note, I will probably mainly focus on her post-war as while I like to dip my toes in some of the darker plotlines they also mildly trigger some of my own memories and pain so I gotta keep that balanced. Etsuko is part vent character and represents what I call my "inner adult" though a more accurate term would probably be my "survival instincts". That being said, even at my most mature, I still really like soft and cute things. I'm hoping that by making some personas like Etsuko (and some others) I'll learn better how to be kind to myself bc look at her she's a puppy how could I call her mean things or treat her with anything but kindness?? lol

One of the major inspirations for me personas (and their stories) is my good friend PioneeringAuthor so if you like the whole war fursona thing you should check her out! I made Etsuko's story the way I did partly bc sometimes I feel like I did survive some kind of war despite the fact I never have (I get really freaked out about tornado sirens and fireworks and things and always think I'm about to get blown up or shot) and partly so her story would have potential overlap with my friend's fursona so they can also be besties.

EDIT: Bro I'm shook, I told my husband about this and he said he's dreamed he's seen this exact character and bio before like three times and I'm SHOOK WHAT IS HAPPENING???
