You know, it just occurred to me that Isshin and Rukia were both officers in the Court Guard.
I know they never really interacted all that much when Rukia was living with the Kurosaki's, but you'd think that that there'd be some recognition.

Yeah there was a good 20 years from the time Rukia was adopted by Byakuya, to Isshin leaving for the Human world. Also never really figured out how adopting someone makes them your sister. I know it was his wife's sister, but still...I digress, it could be that she never saw Isshin in person while he was captain. When she meets him he is Isshin Kurosaki rather than Isshin Shiba.
What really makes no sense is why Hitsugaya and Matsumoto never said anything. Probably because any interaction was in anime filler. Still they saw all the photos on the walls. It does explain why Isshin would leave anytime the SS people were over.

It's actually hard to say if she did or didn't know. She did do pretty bad acting with her sob stories in order to stay. It's not like she hasn't kept anything from Ichigo. The whole SS were just planning on killing him and they were all buddy buddy like that shit wasn't happening. Gave him a fake deputy badge that spied on him, having him go around like an idiot using the Substitute Soul Reaper moniker. Hell he let half of them freeload at his house lol. That shit is just cold!

Haven't watched her since she did her Evangelion Review. Tends to get a little too feministy for my taste and throws around the misogyny card a little too often. I think she lots me the most when she did some retcon change of heart on disney shows she used to love, but then hated for the reasons of it being male trickery to get girls to grow up and get married. First world problems I suppose. Still she kept saying that she liked it and it was hard for her not to like it....Well WTF? The only reason to then hate it, or at least say you hate it, is to pander to a select audience. No clue if she stopped doing that stuff or not, been litteral years.
