Name: Athena (Greek goddess of wisdom, war, the arts, industry, justice and skill)
Breed: Appaloosa
Age:3
Color: Copper Bronze type color
Markings: White spots with three white Stars
Mane/Tail: Slate grey mixed with black
About Athena :
She is mean towards horses that pose a danger to her family and the ones she loves. She left her old herd to find a new one. Towards the ones she loves she is kind, loving, and carefree but always on the look out for the danger from other horses.

Athena:

Breeding: Mother was a plan colored Appaloosa mare more on the lines of the lighter shade Athena is she had only four markings up on her hide those were stars so that’s where Athena gets them from. Her father on the other hand was a huge Appaloosa stallion that every rancher around his herd land prized for his coat color, strength, stamina, and will to fight every foal he sired carried at least two of his favored traits but Athena got them all.

Her sire was the color of cooper with a mane and tail that brushed the earth when he walked his hide had very few battle scares on it which made him even more of a prize to catch and break but at the same time every rancher hated imagining a creature like him penned up in a stall and under saddle so they settled for his sons and daughters he sired each year and the year Athena was born was no different. Ever since the ranchers saw her running along side her sire they just had to have her and they all through in together to make a plan of catching her when she reached six months old.

When she did reach weaning age she stayed close to the herd unlike all the other colts and fillies who wanted to explore the lands around them. Every day a couple of the foals would come up missing and the older horses knew how come cause they could hear the foals calling to their momma’s every now and again until they finally learned there was no returning to the wild. To add to the oddness of this herd it wasn’t just made up of wild appaloosa mares no there were tame mares mixed with in the herd that the ranchers turned lose every breeding season just to have them covered by Athena’s sire and every year close to foaling time her sire would herd the tame mares back down the mountain side to the small corral that was built to house the mares and the young horses they just rounded up.

One year Athena’s mother was spotted by a new rancher to the area he sat his sights on the mare to make her his own and to be the envy of every rancher around those parts. Well he caught her but not with out a fight Athena and her sire did all they could do to save the beloved mare and keep her out of the grips of people like the new rancher. Every day after her mother was captured Athena made her way to look over the ranch where the older mare now lived and every day she watched as the hands tried day after day to break the mare’s spirit and break her to saddle well they did break her spirit finally in front of the young mare and turned her angry and full of hate.

Every night after that Athena went on “raids” to the ranch chasing off the rancher’s herd of prized mares that lived out in the pastures on the far side of the ranch, she also chased his beef cattle around the pastures making them lose weight and collapse from being ran to hard. She spotted her mother one night in a pen close to the house she made her way close to the mare and as she grew nearer she saw how her mother looked and it made her sick there was no life left in her mother’s eyes her beautiful light copper coat covered in cuts and scares from the humans and the mean beast in the pen with her the foal she had had when she was running free lay at her hooves dead killed by either the stallion or the humans.

She stood there watching her mother for the longest time until she heard the sound of a door close and foot falls on wooden boards heading towards her in a fast walk. Snorting Athena turned tail and galloped down the driveway away from her known world forever into a world she knew nothing about. So beings her life in a new world of new horses, sights and smells.

Upon meeting Cobar she’d find him a bit intimidating at first until she gets to know him then she’ll be like holy cow its an other me but with male parts YAYA. She wont be one of those clingy mares but she will stay close to him but not nearly on top of him every time he moves around.
