Description
Tidied up the ref sheet for this char so I could post it cause he's cool. This has been sitting on my hard drive for nearly a year. I've also been working on a plush version of his ferret form for almost as long, but in fits and starts. Download for full size.

An excerpt from my character notes:

"Three formed spirit beast with a human voice and a mask face. Can take the primary form of any of the three animals but a part of the other two always remain. Dominance of forms works like Deer-Owl-Ferret, Owl-Ferret-Deer, and Ferret-Deer-Owl. In human guise the daemon appears as a man but with small antlers, wings, and a long fluffy tail. The patterns of the mask remain on the skin of the human face.

The daemon is a spirit of the hunt, encompassing both predator and prey, and the balance of nature. He is known to seek revenge for animal spirits that have been unjustly killed by evil or careless hunters and as a fable to teach young hunters to only take what they need and to respect the animals they kill.

He is a lonely spirit, but accustomed to being by himself. He does not bemoan his loneliness to others or state that what he desires most is a friend. Per the myths, a hunter or lost soul can call upon him and ask a boon, but they must be wary in their dealings for the daemon has no need of gifts or material things and is like to leave them to their plight. Pleas to consider their families who they may never see again will not sway him, for he is always alone. The wise hunter knows that only an honest offer of friendship will guarantee the daemon’s aid. The daemon is cursed with a human voice but no one to understand his words and so they say that his lonely tears fell until they washed trails in the color of his mask.

An observant person might catch a glimpse of the daemon on misty mornings, because as everyone knows spirits live in the mist.

Loves cinnamon/nutmeg, has a weakness for Starbucks possibly even a slight addiction not that he goes around saying so (cinnamon, pumpkin spice etc flavors), fashion sense is sort of college professor meets hipster, Scottish caps/golf hats, and acorns."
