Nun, ich bin an sich kein Fan der "Tier-Gargoyles".

Klar hat das Mythologische Grundlagen, schließlich sehen viele echte Gargoyles irgendwie wie Tiere aus. Und Greg Weisman als Fan von echten Gargoyles hat sich damit nur an die Vorlage gehalten.
Ich betrachte das aber eher biologisch: Es ist nicht möglich ^^

Das Design der meisten Gargoyles hat ja nun Greg Guler zu verantworten, und ich kann mir vorstellen, das G.W. zu ihm ging und sagte: "Mach mir Gargoyles, wie man sie an den Kathedralen sieht."

Was ich aber an seiner Stelle gemacht hätte, um der Mythologie treu zu bleiben: Nicht Gargoyles die 1:1 wie ein Tier aussehen, sondern nur starke tierische Eigenschaften haben, die stark an dieses Tier erinnern aber es letztendlich gar nicht ist.

Muss gestehen, dass ich es mit Staghart mal versucht habe, ihn "realistisch" zu gestalten, so das man den Gargoyle, den Hirsch und auch den Charakter als solches wiedererkennt. Es ist mir nicht gelungen.

In diesen "Versuch" hatte ich das Gesicht tatsächlich auch verformt, die Schnauze verkleinert, das Geweih reduziert. Vielleicht zeig ich die Skizze hier mal ^^

Hey würd mich freuen, wenn du den Entwurf mal lädst.
Ich habe es auch versucht...
Breiteres, kürzeres Gesicht, schwereres Geweih, die Beine kürzer und stabiler.
Habe den ganzen Körper einfach robuster gestaltet.
Mit dem Ergebnis, einen Hirsch mit Flügeln zu haben, aber eben keinen Staghart. -,-

Ich mag die Tiergargoyles auch nicht wirklich, wobei die die Mutanten echt cool finde.
(An denen stört mich nur, das die alle ne Supermanhose angaben.)

Das G.W. die Disney Gargoyles gar nicht entwickelt hat, wusste ich nicht!
Wieder was gelernt. ^^
Meine Infos hab ich eigentlich klar, von der Serie und vor allem von der
Gargoyles Datenbank.

Das Grunddesign der Gargoyles ist einfach der Wahnsinn, findest du nicht?
Die Beine, der lange Schweif..
Die sind einmalig. *schwärm*

Das mit den tierischen Attributen hatte bestimmt gut geklappt.
So wie der Rabe, dieser falsche Gargoyle.

Wenn ich ihn mal wiederfinde, bei all meinen Skizzenkram, werde ich es mal tun. (kann im Augenblick aber nichts versprechen)

Ich hatte b.t.w. ähnliche Resultate wie du: ein humanoid-deformierter Hirsch mit Flügeln XD

Das die Mutanten Supermanhosen tragen ist doch einer der (vielen) Lichtblicke an ihnen *fg* (wenn du verstehst, was ich meine:

Nun, Greg Weisman hatte die Gargoyles schon entwickelt, aber das finale Design hat Greg Guler gemacht.

Das Grunddesign stammt ja nicht mal von irgendwem, das ist einfach so ^^
Gargoyles haben schon immer folgende Eigenschaften gehabt:
Nacht aktiv, in der Regel am Tage aus Stein (gibt natürlich ausnahmen), Schwingen (auch hier gibt es einige wenige Ausnahmen), Schweif, Krallen, animalisch Erscheinung, legen Eier, .. und werden GANZ alt ^^.

Und, ja, der Rabe ist leider leider kein echter Gargoyle gewesen, der hat mir auch sehr gefallen ^^

unfortunately this will be never happening.

Lex returned to the Manhattanclan, and noone has seen both of them talking together again.

And Lex was not very sad about being back in NY again...

Well I knew something about it before, but still I wanted to knew the truth, so that's a shame. I wonder if ever we'll see something that Greg said about Lex becoming truth later [I think somehow he's getting back from his ideas]. But lets hope someday something will change in future, maybe Amp will return or somebody else will appear later in Lex's life.

I think, Amp elicit Lexingtons sexuality. He show him, that a male Gargoyle dont need a female mate to be happy.
(So, Amp could be gay, but it just doesn't spark between him and Lex.)

But Lex took this lesson with him.

Greg Weisman told long before, Lex will be find a Human mate - a boy from NY.

Maybe we have to wait 10 years again to find an answer.

Well that's new information that I didn't know, so very thanks for that! But still is somewhat shame that he didn't try further advance on the subject, that will be something like what it is between Goliath and Eliza but in other form [it will be so cool]. Let's hope that we still be interested on the subject for another ten years, that's somewhat large spanse of time.

The only thing we can do is, to spread the word...

I have done my part...
On my Gargoyles website [link] I explain to all the German fans (and future fans of course) the facts about the comics. I remind them all of the show and advertise for the DVD's and comics.
