Part 8 of 10 for my Kirby Anniversary special!! Ice Kirby requested by HarpoonMeI remember spending eons in-game making Kirby sprint with Ice form just to watch him skate!! Lolol.. And then brutally turning everyone into icecubes.. Ice is one of the best-looking abilities too,, though Ninja will always be the best imo

This is so soft and gorgeous! This pastel blue-purple-pink palette has always been so gorgeous, and it evokes ice perfectly. I especially love how you used all of those colours in Kirby's ice crown.

Thankyou!! Before I started coloring I looked at the sprites from Super Star Ultra, and I noticed they added pink to complement the blue, which most other depictions of Ice Kirby lack, unfortunately.. :c I've always admired KSSU's colorful sprites, and tried my best to capture the beauty of those c:

KSSU did a really fabulous job of modernising KSS' spritework, which aside from a few odd colour choices (likely as a result of the limited SNES palette) was already a really good-looking game. So the fact that KSSU was able to successfully reiterate it was just lovely.
Kirby games just have such incredible colour schemes. They're so inspiring to draw with!

KSS was the first Kirby game I ever played through, so it and KSSU have a very special place in my heart. There's a reason it's viewed as such a milestone in the series.
