  Hello everyone! Today we are going to introduce a first character to represent the Brigade Reserves as a part of the Faction Focus for April 2019. Curiously enough, he could be considered to be an extension of the House Vex faction focus from March - meet Baelan Vex.

Born as the youngest of the Vex siblings at a time when no one expected another addition to the family anymore, Baelan's early youth was marked with him being raised more by his siblings than his parents. While the eldest sister mostly helped her parents with running the house and did not spend much time with Baelan, Vivienne and Dorothee both adopted the little count as their own. While Vivienne took her duty with a grain of responsibility, being much more mature at that time than Dorothee, Dorothee outright fell in love with her little brother, which resulted in her gradually spoiling him in certain ways.

Young Baelan grew up to be a brash, fearless and extremely cocky youngster, who did not fear any obstacles and questioned every rule and tradition you could wave your sword at. This naturally got him into trouble more often than not. Always accepting a challenge and never backing away, Baelan's All-in attitude resulted in a record collection of broken bones, scars and cuts. Always willing to prove his point and impress his siblings, Baelan was shielded from the full impact of his 'losses' by none other than his youngest sister. Recognizing Dorothee's hand in this, the rest of the house begun to pay much more attention to Baelan's upbringing, finally realizing that this course of action would most likely leave the cocky scoundrel slain on some nameless battlefield.

Becoming much more invested, the two eldest siblings managed to finally achieve something unheard of - Baelan learned a couple of lessons he will not forget anytime soon. Resulting in at least partial humbling of the scoundrel, Baelan ended up employed as a lowly clerk, and over the course of ten years worked his way up through proper channels and now is employed in the diplomatic corps of the Brigade Reserves. But the exact nature of these lessons is probably better left for future stories .

I have worked on Balean as a part of my faster b/w portrait training, and as usual I've spent little bit of extra time refining the final result. I hope you like this brash scoundrel, despite his many obvious flaws and scars .

Baelan Vex is busy lounging on the beach while his siblings are all on duty. He should be practicing for the Beach Volleyball tournament, being the captain of the Orange Team (team 3), but he knows he can do it without any extra practice *yawn*. While he originally did not donate anything, he noticed that everyone else contributed in some way. That shall not stand of course, if you manage to bring him an Arcanite Key, he will order the House Vex recruiters to sign up one character for Vex House Guard on your behalf (one character will be created on your behalf for the Brigade Mercenary Project). There are no Golden Keys, Arcanite Keys or Truesilver Keys here.

The Brigade Reputation System Hello everyone! The Brigade would like to announce a reveal of a system we've been considering for quite some time now. In order to further the bond between The Brigade and its supporters, and more importantly, to reward the continuous support, we have decided to create a Brigade Reputation System.
What is the reputation system you might ask? And how does it help me? Well, the answer is simple. We are now introducing multiple ways in which you can support the Brigade and its efforts. As a reward, those who want to participate will earn Brigade Reputation Points. There is myriad of tasks you can earn these points. As you do, your reputation status with The Brigade will grow, and you will earn both passive bonuses and be able to perform some so called Power Moves, by spending your reputation.
