Description
My watercolor piece for the Brown County Fair this year! I got a first place on it! I wanted to replace the outdated watercolor fox I did a few years back

This looks great! I love your technique for fur clumps! ^^
If you want some advice, I'd recommend taking a look at the ears and especially the mouth. It may be twist of the ears or just the individual, but the ears on this fox look a little small to me. The mouth also appears a little bit too small to me. Foxes have a 'large' mouth, reaching the area under the eye when viewed sideways. The mouth of this fox appears to extend not much further than the nose (and in that sense looks a bit horse-like).

Thank you for the critique! I agree that the ears could be larger, but the ends of the mouth lined up with the pupils on my reference image, so that's how I painted it. Although the lips couldn't be seen like they are in my painting
