Entering a dark and scary forest was not what Iris had in mind. She was chasing down those responsible for kidnapping Oswald but skidded into a halt when she saw the eerie forest they had entered. For a split second, she considered turning back because of ghosts, but Iris was too proud to be scared. The sad truth was, Iris was very afraid of ghosts, though she didn't let anyone know about it. Only Gus and Mickey knew about it, but Iris wasn't aware that they knew. She puffed out her chest and ran after Oswald's abductors but as she was running through the woods, she quickly realized that she lost sight of the horse that was carrying Oswald. Iris snarled angrily, but all of a sudden-

CRASH!

Iris fell to the ground and landed on her back hard. She groaned and gingerly rubbed her back as she muttered, "What the hell was tha-!!" Sitting on the ground and rubbing her back like Iris was a girl that looked an awful lot like a bat. Iris looked at her shocked and saw that she was not a classic cartoon like herself. Her eyes gave it away. The girl finally looked up at her and gasped. "Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to run into you!" she exclaimed. "It's alright. This was an accident. I know you didn't mean to." replied Iris as she got up and patted the dirt off her zipper dress.

She extended her hand to the girl and smiled. "Here let me help you up." she told her. The girl smiled back, grabbed her hand, and with her help, she was back on her feet. As she dusted herself off, Iris got a good chance to see her and saw that was indeed a bat. She blinked a few times. "Whoa! You're a bat! I've never seen a bat before!" she exclaimed. The girl let out a giggle. "Really? Well the one who created me told me I could be the first and only Disney character that's a bat." she told her. Iris watched as the girl took a good look at her and grinned. "You're a classic cartoon character! Just like Oswald and Mick-!"

The girl hit her head with the palm of her hand and gasped. "Oh no! Mickey! I was running after these creeps that kidnapped him and came in here!" she exclaimed. Iris' eyes grew wide. "WHAT?!? That's why I'm here too! These creeps kidnapped Oswald and they came in here as well!" The girl's eyes widened. "Then is it a coincidence that we just happen to bump into each other here?" she asked quietly. Suddenly, they both gasped and quickly began to look around them when they heard groaning coming deep within the woods. Iris stopped and looked in the woods to see a crowd of what looked like cartoons coming toward them. Her stomach dropped when she realized they weren't ordinary cartoons.

"Um, you might want to take a look at this." she said to the girl and pointed toward what she saw. The girl looked and sure enough, Iris' worst fear was confirmed. "Zombies!" she exclaimed. "We ran straight into a trap those creeps set up!" Iris gasped and looked behind the girl to see another crowd of zombies walking slowly toward them. Soon enough, the two realized that they were trapped and literally touching backs with each other. Iris frowned and held up her gloved fists as she and the girl both took fighting stances. She looked back at the bat and asked, "What's your name miss?"

"It's Liliac." she replied. "Nice to meet you Liliac. My name is Iris. I hope you know how to fight because it looks like we'll have to fight our way through the the rotting crowd to save Mickey and Oswald." Iris told her. Liliac looked back at her and grinned. "Well then let's have some fun Iris! Don't hold anything back!"

For the past two weeks, I've been having a rather bad time with family and my own personal emotions. Last Saturday, made my night when she posted this: [link]
As a way to thank her for drawing my Iris and making my night, I decided to draw Liliac with Iris and add a story to this. I hope you like it Maria! <3
