These shots come from the Fieldcrest Cannon textile mills in Kannapolis, NC. After the new millenium's first economic depression, the mills closed and sent Kannapolis into record unemployment. Now falling apart, the mills are being torn down to build a high tech medical study facility, employing a very small amount of the thousands of unskilled workers laid off.

Taken with an Olympus OM10 loaded with ASA400 speed Kodak B&W film, with a lot of luck avoiding police officers and rotted supports...
