Soooo. This whole thing first came out of a studio assignment - flowers. I hate flower photographs (but I got a 17/20 on it). I was browsing the Internet for inspiration and decided upon lillies for the assignment. Then I somehow stumbled across a Rapidash, believe it or not, and the two weren't long to blend together XD I used three tons of references in there - never draw in front of your computer - here they are :

Rapidash front legs and head : [link] by ~kitux

Girl head and hair : Loveless, volume 1 (Kouga Yun)
Girl feet : From a picture in a yaoi collection found on Mininova, no indication whatsoever on who might have drawn it.

Well, I guess the girl is more or less supposed to be me. With overly long arms / legs and not much clothes on, but this is mostly what I wear when I'm indoors. And a hint to my being a florist long ago.

:: The coloring ::
Please, please, next time you hear me saying anything like "I might try watercolors on this", TIE ME DOWN. What ever got into me ? D: WATERCOLORS ?! WTF ! You can't control anything, the paint is just wildly mixing with another and crap, it's just impossible to do what you want with it. THE HORROR. ... although I do like how it came out - mostly thanks to the white light additions and the lillies' stamens. But I find it lack really dark areas.

Do notice the lillies in some strategical points such as the folded front leg or the Rapidash's right ear XD
The title is an easy pun with my nickame, Galopa, which does mean Rapidash in French, and the Rapidash underneath "me" in the image. "Galopa sur Galopa" then means "Galopa on Rapidash".

Took about 2 hours and a half of lineart, and another two hours of painting.
