-Two powerful cosmic entities whose most notable trait is their insatiable hunger which they can only satiate by devouring planets, with the contrast being that Unicron destroys planets out of nothing but pure malice and sadism and outright enjoys causing chaos whereas Galactus only does it because it is his job.

-Both have had a servant who wields a small fraction of their power (Galvatron/Megatron for Unicron and the Heralds while it is Silver Surfer for Galactus).

-Both are some of the oldest entities in their respective cosmologies, with both having existed before time itself (Galactus was born in the universe before the current one and Unicron has existed since time began).

-Both embody a concept related to life itself (Galactus embodies the balance between life and death while Unicron embodies evil itself).

-Both wield utterly limitless cosmic power (Galactus wields the Power Cosmic and Unicron is an equal to his brother and polar opposite Primus).
