Heaven's Lost Property vs Date a LiveConnections:
- They are both supernatural beings (Angeloid and Spirit) from other worlds, being the very first of their kind (First Generation Angeloids, Original and Pure Spirits).
- Neither of them had any memories from who they were when they were sent to earth (Tohka never had memories in the first place, while Ikaros' memories were sealed after she escaped Synapse), but as story progresses they would find the answers from their past after being saved by the main protagonist who they fell in love with (Tomoki and Shido).
- They are also the main heroines of their stories, having to deal with the struggles of being able to destroy the world if they wanted to and being used by the villains for gaining immense power (Minos and Isaac).
- They were both treated as weapons of Mass Destruction, only to later reveal they have loving and gentle personalities.
- They both have inspirations that come from angels and mythology (Icarus from her name and references across the manga and anime, and Sandalphon being Tohka's respective angel).
