Kinda obscure, but I was wondering what the "dark" version of Itward from Fran Bow would be like and the idea of him dressing as the Masque of the Red Death was just BEGGING to be drawn. So, what the heck?

Works as his own character, I suppose; the design is unique enough.

Also, with all the....flamboyant displays of what the Red Death would look like, they're all either too far from the source material or too...plain for a Masquerade. I wanted to create a design that spoke for the "habiliments of the grave" but was also fashionable enough to fancy the "tastes of the duke." And yes, the blood's totally necessary because it's always satisfying to draw and because "...his vesture was dabbled in blood - and his broad brow...was besprinkled with the scarlet horror." Everybody assumes the overabundance of red is because of its haunting emotions it invokes, which is true, but it's also because the Red Death was, obviously, covered in the vile blood from the dead of the diseased.

Yeah, fun stuff.

Anyways, I feel good 'bout this one. Maybe I'll post more often with Traditional Art like this.
