Who is Espeon?
Just to make a disclaimer, I finished this drawing on 26th October 2023 before I covered Typhlosion and Mika. Espeon was introduced in Pokemon Gold/Silver which marked the debut of Genearation 2 back in 1999 as one of Eevee's two new evolutions alongside Umbreon and it evolves from Eevee during daytime when its Happiness level is very high. It is a member of the Eeveelutions family being a Psychic-type Pokemon with its highest stat being its base 130 Speical Attack allowing it to hit hard using special moves like Psychic, Shadow Ball, Signal Beam and Dazzling Gleam.
Espeon is also one of the two starter Pokemon in Pokemon Colosseum alongside Umbreon under the ownership of Wez, the primary protagonist of that game with both Pokemon being at level 25. In Pokemon XD, Eevee evolves into Espeon if the Sun Shard. The only games that Eevee is featured but not Espeon are Pokemon Fire Red and Leafgreen as well as Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee because the former two games lack the day-night preventing Eevee to evolve into Espeon so players have to trade Eevee into Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire or Emerald or trade Espeon from Pokemon Colosseum into Fire Red and Leaf Green while the latter game is incompatible with post-Generation 1 Pokemon (including those related to Pokemon from said generation with Meltan and Melmetal being the only exceptions). Curiously as of later games Leafeon and Glaceon both evolve from Eevee using thier corrosponding, but it's strange that Espeon and Umbreon don't evolve from Eevee from the Sun Stone or Moon Stone respectively despite being categorised as the Sun and Moon Pokemon respectively.
Its pre-evolution form Eevee as already made an appearance in the Super Smash Bros franchise already first appearing in Melee as a collectible trophy while Leafeon and Glaceon appeared exclusively in Brawl sharing the same Trophy Stand and finally Sylveon appeared in Smash Bros 4. as a trophy. Eevee became a Poke Ball Assist since Smash 4 using Take Down. Despite Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon not appearing in Smash Bros directly, they are represented by three Yoshis of corresponding colours (blue, yellow and red) representing those Pokemon and their respective types leaving Espeon and Umbreon being the only Eeveelutions being left out. Espeon would be awesome as Poke Bal Pokemon Assist using Psybeam.
Pokemon and Smash Bros belong to Nintendo.
