Description
This is my interpretation of the dragon from the book Eldest by Christopher Paolini (the second in a series of three books, however the third has yet to be released). I don't read books much, but the Eragon series is really REALLY good. They're actually making the first one into a movie which comes out December 15, 2006. Anyway, enough about the book. I created the dragon entirely from scratch in Photoshop for a school project where we had to recreate a book cover. I did the background first ('cuz when I do it last I just half ass it) and then overlayed it with a black shilouette of the dragon created with the pen tool. Then I added color and dodged and burned. It's pretty simple really. I don't know a whole heck of a lot about Photoshop (I only really started using it in October 2005). I like how it turned out, but there are a few things I would like to change. Maybe I'll go back and fix it later.
