When I was in middle school I tried to make artworks in his style, but back then I couldn't even draw one straight line... later on, I was just like... I just wanted to be original XD but now some ppl are telling me my style reminds them Tailsrulz and Macmegagerc xD kinda ironic xD

Haha ikr, me myself I'm in school right now, but I'm trying to put together a protfolio for concept artist. So I try to learn several different styles. but at lest you've gotten a head start on art I didn't really start drawing until I was almost graduated high school!

I wish I could have gotten started that soon. I had a few art classes at the end of my high school years but my art teacher sucked. I didn't realize it until I started teaching myself.

True you don't want me to get on my grandstand about that, I'm i my second semester of Art and video game development school, and I've learned more from my fellow artist and students than instructors, for the most part.

Nice, I am nailing 2d art right now in hopes that sometime in about a year and a half I can get a job as an illustrator or concept artist. But
i still have a little ways to go before my work and speed is up to hiring standards.
Β Β Β Then I am going to start on 3d stuff and some programming (which I suck at) in hopes of stating to self develop a steam game in a couple a years.
Β Β But true that. I am in a intro programming class right now.....and its like I have found more practical tutorials on youtube!

Oh yeah I say you tube but any tutorial website. I plinked around a unity for a bit, but never really spent to much time in it. I will soon enough when I'm ready to actually start development on something.

Makes sense...I need to learn a bit about hardware myself, so I can build the god level pc. But I'm starting to feel the same way about game development school. All the stuff we do in class, we can't use to find a job. And the people who do go to work for Disney, CD Projekt red and such do most of the work and study themselves.

Most of them have regular CS or CE degree... never trust "art" or "creativity" related degrees, in about 90% they are worthless, the other 10% are people you can meet there and make connections.

Oh yeah. Like when I was going to the art institute there were some faculty there with serious connections. But even then most people who got jobs did so before even graduating.

Yeah. I know a lot of ppl who go to private schools, and after that they regret this, because it had no connections. State universities and research schools/institutes are in most cases the only good shots (I'm not counting few top exceptions of course) Most of the private unis are money drainers

Ye, though I think I have finally come to the conclusion that it all comes down to your individual commitment to it. Like I think I literally draw all day. Eat, work, draw, maybe sleep. It helps a lot I don't have a racecar because there would go my thrusday and friday nights. But thats regardless of which school you go to or what you major is in my opinion.

Oh nice! I'm trying to go from reserves to active army. So I'll be stuck in a barracks. When your not deployed you have a lot of free time (to draw) In about 1 1/2 to 2ish years I'm going to start putting my work on ArtStation, and see if I can start getting some job offers for a concept artist or illustrator. So who do you have an internship cause that sounds like a sweet gig!
