Description

The South Kalos leak is an infamous fake leak that came out in early 2016 after Magearna was revealed and before Sun and Moon were revealed. In this series, I'll make each of these slots real one way or another - If one idea is already done in the modern games, I'll do my own creative take on it. Maybe I'll throw in some 'mons of my own that aren't in that fake leak to help add more to Kalos' faults.

Everyone knows this duo - Zangoose and Seviper. One of which is an ace of NU, while the other is too slow to do stuff, luckily I'm here to help BOTH of them have their plights echo out a bit more!

Zanfei (a portmanteau of the Zan- prefix of Zangoose and fei [Chinese for small]) is a small innocent blank cat with no red on it's design aside from its eyes. This pre-evolution is based on the innocence of childhood, with its evolution method requiring it to fight and soil it's pure white coat (yeah so does every pokemon, but these lines especially)

Ability: (1) Friend Guard
(H) Toxic Boost
Gender Ratio: 50%M/50%F
Egg Group: Field
Height Range: Small

"These Pokemon play around in the fields, hunting for small prey animals with it's ally Noviper, however it gets most of it's thrills from Poison-types."

-Defeat 7 Poison-type Pokemon, and Zanfei will evolve into Zangoose-

-Defeat 7 Seviper while holding the Razor Claw, and Zangoose will evolve into Mongruels-

Mongruels (A mixture of Mongoose, Mongrel it's classification is the cat ferret after all], and cruel) is a hulking beast of a veteran who's slayed many a Seviper as prey items with a scarred gut made of pure muscle.
Despite their grizzly size and intimidating looks, they're actually just as much of a softie as their prevos. Statwise they become a strong physical tank with 95 base speed, with the ground typing only hinting at how it shakes the ground with it's mass.
The whole theme of this line is war - The first stage is the newbie that just got drafted and finished training, Regular Zangoose represents the soldier that's seen it's fights but still fights on with much youth left in it, and Mongruels represents the grizzled war veteran who's riddled with scars with each time it evolves more red coats it's pure white fur.

"These Pokemon act as leaders to packs of Zangoose, they have great strength that shake the very earth when needed. Outside of battle, they behave like a different Pokemon, as they cuddle with their trainer like the little Zanfei they once were."
