Description
From left to right of the branching paths of the first Wild Area, you'll now go through an branching path that leads through a swamp-like path towards the Water-type gym. One of these Pokémon within the area are the most common in the path, the pesky bugs by the names of Fleantik and Mosqulex.

I wanted to make this type combination for a while due to how many creepy-crawlies we can pin as "evil", so I chose the obvious ones to represent this type combination.

Fleantik (a mixture of Flea, Tick, Frantic, Antic, and "Flea and Tick Treatment") is based on a mixture of a flea and a tick, two infamous parasitic pests found in tall grass irl. The original design had the flea and tick pokemon as seperate forms, with the former being the first stage and the ladder being the middle-stage evolution.

Mosqulex (a portmanteau of mosquito and culex [Latin for gnat]) is a mosquito that will absorb your blood for protein, It's also partly designed after the Kokopelli , since he is considered a trickster god so the Dark typing makes sense there as well.

The Fleantik Line has access to the Bug-type version of Leech Seed, Parasite, by either leveling up Fleantik to level 31, evolving Fleantik into Mosqulex, or breeding it from a parent.
