Description I might have a thing going with these guys. O.o

So, introducing Salamander, aka the real reason why Wurm is hiding on Earth. He's mainly known as the silent one (like Wurm's called the crawling one), and for good reason.

Wurm sewed his talking-mouth shut, then cut off his arms so he can't remove his stitches. Then, to add insult to injury, he also planted an inhibitor in his brain that prevents him from shape-shifting, so he's stuck in that form. Nice guy, huh?

Salamander originally began as an ambassador for his planet, negotiating peace treaties between his race and other space-traveling races. The species is a war-based one, but they do have their moments of peace. Salamander was old enough to have fought in the last great war, which was why he changed professions to become a peace negotiator, being tired of fighting as he was. Wurm believed he was a traitor to his race, and confronted him in the undercity to threaten him into breaking off the treaty and plunging the species back into war, what they are best at. Salamander refused and dismissed Wurm, since Wurm was almost six feet shorter than him and was a thin little creature, hardly looking threatening at all. That night, when he returned to his spire, Wurm was waiting in his room, and knocked him unconscious before Salamander realized he was there.

When he woke up, he was completely restrained and had a shifting-inhibitor already implanted in his brain. Wurm was singing quietly to himself while he waited for Salamander to wake up, and was mildly surprised when Salamander managed to propel himself across the room towards him with only his tail. He was still an assassin, though, and pinned the elder to the ground quite easily. Over the course of the seventeen-hour night, Salamander was tortured, his talking-mouth stitched shut, his arms cut off at the elbows, one front foot removed, and told once again to refuse the treaty. Salamander went to the treaty mission that afternoon, bloodied and almost dead, completed the treaty, then took a healing draft before setting out to find Wurm that same evening. Wurm found out why Salamander was also called the Final Sight in the days of the last war, and realized there was a reason Salamander was feared. Wurm was discovered within hours, and when he ran he was stunned to find that even missing a foot Salamander could easily keep up with him, hounding him through the city and toying with him, casually snapping out to slash at Wurm as he ran. Wurm had lost almost half the blood in his body by the time he managed to escape by shifting into an avian as he jumped off a bridge, narrowly avoiding Salamander's leap.

From then, Salamander has been chasing Wurm from planet to planet, solar system to solar system, hounding him and driving the cretin ragged. He lost Wurm when he entered the Milky Way galaxy, though, when he held back as Wurm flew right into a solar storm. He doubts Wurm survived, but he's still searching for him, just to be sure that the whelp is punished for his insolence. He has been hunting him for almost two thousand years now, and nine hundred years ago was when he lost Wurm in the solar storm. He has no crew in his ship, hunting alone, but he knows he will find the insurrector. It was his job in the war, to hunt down runners that abandoned the fight.

Physically, he is much larger than Wurm, six feet longer and four taller, about eight hundred pounds heavier. His head and neck are smaller than Wurm's in comparison to his body size, but that is because he is a fully mature male. His body has more fat and muscle on it, which is why you can't see the bones as much, and his tail is thicker and longer. His arms are missing, and he wears a prosthetic on his front left foot. His mouth is sewed shut with Gerran cording, meaning it's nearly unbreakable, so he can't talk with that mouth. However, defying all laws of his species, he is able to hiss out basic words with his other two mouths, leaving him some way to communicate. He's seven thousand years older than Wurm, who was born just after the last great war, and has fought in four of the last major wars the universe has been in.

Okay, I think that's it for Salamander. Holy crow, typing. But yes, meet the real reason why Wurm is on Earth, hiding and not letting anything see his real form. Because if they saw his real form and Salamander found Earth, they could tell him where Wurm was. And he's quite fond of living, thank you very much.
