According to the official "Gravity Falls: Journal 3" published in July 2016, which is stated to be canon, the effects wear off even faster, after 3 hours:

Though the episode itself was pretty vague about it, and many people, including myself, upon initial viewing of the episode assumed its effects are permanent unless the anti-love potion is used. I'm assuming Gara wrote the comic with the premise that the effects are permanent.

Oh, i read the "Gravity Falls: Journal 3" myself but it has been a while,Β Thank you for clearing that up, and yeah i am pretty sure everyone thought that the love potion was permanent when it was first used in the show, thus why they probably put the info about the Love potion only working for a few hours.
