Description
while thinking about the text for my grunge project [link] I tried to create a type of photographic render. This should simulate an old film with some defects.What's your opinion?

I'd have to agree with the film grain.
Worked well with the smaller image, but blown up, there's too much. It overpowers the face. And that's a shame, because the face is beautiful.
The lines are great. I esp. love the play of the values between the mouth and the nostral. That area draws me. The cheek bone is wonderful, so high and shaded. The hair on the neck is nice and featherd, almost blunt with the line of the neck against the black.

the compostition is great. i know the film grain is too much, but it's kind of a fun gesture. that pose is excellent

the photo is cool, esp the pose and the lighting.
the grain is too strong though, and you need more than a simple Add Noise for convincing film grain. add your dirtyness on a new layer filled with 50% gray set to soft light or hard light, this way you get more flexibility with trying out effects.
