As the gates close behind you, a brunette with red-rimmed glasses and freckles looks up at you. She beams, then starts chatting excitedly. "Oh, hello there! Are you looking to move in Jarde Village? Great! Here, take this ID." She shoves a small ID card at you. "If you fill out all the valid information, we'll find you an inn immediately and you'll be classified officially as a member of Jarde Village. Oh, but before you get cozy, visit the Tree of the Wise for 500 Nutrients-- you'll definitely need those sometime or later. Have fun and welcome to Jarde Village!"

Welcome to Jarde Village! As Lily said, you should fill out the ID. If you need any help, the steps below are a full walkthrough. If you still have questions, ask a staff member or visit our FAQ .

Instructions:

Download the PSD file. The preview is only for show-- the real fun begins when you click that shiny Deviant Green button on the side of the screen!

Find whatever program you use [SAI, Photoshop, Corel... etc. It must be layer friendly.] and click on it. Once all the data has been loaded, go to File > Open > Downloads > Owner_ID.psd. Open the file you just downloaded and take a look at your canvas.

The first layer is called Background, where a dark gray block at 70% opacity is displayed. To spiff up your backdrop, just color over it! The layer is transparency locked, which means no lines can get over it. Neat, huh?

The layer above Background is Picture Background. This will serve as the 100% opacity background of your picture you'll draw [we'll explain more later.] Make that as sparkly desu or Death Valley as you want, then move on to the next step.

Attached to the Picture Background is a big 'ol layer that says DRAW HERE. As the title implies, please draw your resident in this space, or take a picture of her/him and place it there. The clipped layer function means that the layer is attached to the Picture Background, and will not get outside its borders. Almost like another layer that's transparency locked to the last. If that makes any sense.

After your lovely drawing is the final layer, Text. On this layer you can choose to either write right then and there, or make another layer above Text to write on. Fill out the information and circle your gender in preferably white. Remember, choose a text color that doesn't match the background. If we can't see it, it doesn't count!

When you're all finished with the ID, and you're satisfied, save the ID as a PNG.

Upload the PNG to DeviantART. The category doesn't matter. But the title should be something along the lines of "G-G Resident ID: :yourusernamehere:".

Submit the deviation to "Owner IDs" in the Gallery of #Graceful-Gardens . Then wait as ~Garden-Twins comes over and gives you your starter kit. All done!
