At times like this, when I realize the amazing freedom cartoons had back in the nineties with subject matter, and when mastery of the technical was stressed, I weep silent tears for the cartoons of today.

The real difference was that in the '90s doing a cartoon was very expensive, without computers and other useful tools, so only those who were truly interested in making a good product managed to do one.
Now computer make people think that everyone can do animation, and there comes poorly animated cartoons (because I'm sure many animators don't even study to do that job), with horrible colours (some color theory, everyone?) and often even a terrible character design, mostly because they want to do something similar to anime, but with american influences X_X

I must admit that this is one of the more faithful pictures of Minerva that I've seen.
Most people draw her too cartoonish while nearly all the rest draw har too realistic. You've managed a balance that's very close to the original.
