May dragons are the most powerful and dangerous species of fire dragon known. These dragons are permanently surrounded by an aura of more or less powerful and calorific magic flame. Its flames do not directly set fire to anything it touches but can become incendiary at the dragon's will.
We don't know of a story of a fight between a hero and one of these dragons that didn't end in a barbecue party.
They are known as one of the only species of dragon that hibernates during the long, cold winter months. Which is also the only time their flames go out.
