Because shit just got real!One in blue is I took liberties designing her proper raiment for battle.
One in the spiky battle bikini is I also took liberties designing an alternate set of battle gear too.
The mandrake to the left is just some random mandrake. It shall be known as the Maw.
Its just something I enjoy doing, redesigning characters here and there.
Also, I didn't bother with some background scenery or whatever, its just not something I am good at. Will work on that later.
Anyway, I am kind of impressed at myself for how far I have come from my first pictures here on DA. Still have a long ways to go yet.

This is epically awesome, and I can see the major strides you've made in improvement.
But the one thing that REALLY stands out is the anatomy, you payed perfect attention to that, the fact that Xet is smaller but equally lithe, the hunched over Mandrake (my God it's JULIUS!) the awesomeness that is Lusarion and Shy getting ALL UP IN SOMEONES BUSINESS! It's really marvelous and you should be proud of yourself *pet pet* THREE CHEERS FOR MY DRACON! HIP HIP BLOODBATH! HIP HIP BLOODBATH! HIP HIP INTESTINES! 8D

Xetavia has three Mandrakes named Julius, Adrian and Moriarty (very obviously nicknames). They are her 'personal protection' in cases of extreme emergencies, otherwise they are notoriously noisy garbage bins that nom whatever happens to cross their path.

They do, they're kinda like unruly crocodiles. Moriarty being the dominant Alpha and Julius as Beta and Adrian as Omega...he gets pick on since he's fiend-fire impotent.

Holy sh*t--this is dynamically sound, fully detailed, and more than candy to the optical senses. Since you were focusing upon the characters, a full blown scenic BG wasn't needed to take away from them so I wouldn't worry bout that part.
The detail to each outfit of armor is awesome--each one shows the personality of each body depicted. You always do well on any type of suited armor I notice and that takes some patience and talent both. I'm really digging the 'battle bikini' on my succubus, wahaa! It suits her show-off flare to the tee along with all the other miniscule components that make up the rest of the armored outfit. I 100% approve of the spikey bikini goodness! 
I'm still in love with Xeta's mantle <3
As for that Mandrake--he's there in case Xeta overheats. One quick dip in the shadow pool and she's good to go! 8D
