What part of gawain do you mean, modeling or his material settings?

Ah, well not really. I idid it from scratch.

I began by doodling each piece of the body (the gold part of the leg for example) and then i drew the topology over it so it flowed well.

It was after this i began modeling him.

Nice pose, but I think you can use some flare for the thrusters and some glow on the "reddish" part of the sword.. Is it some sort of laser sword right? ^^

Yeh, I'm still working on the materials ^^. just working on the body for now, trying to make it nice and metallic like.

Then I'll move on to the energy material. I am going to add a particle like effect to them, where the energy is breaking free (more so on the halos), as well as the glowing effect.

And the sword is indeed an energy sword, when not in use the orange part disappearings completely.

It seems like you've gotten through this one much quicker than the others. Used some shortcuts you learned along the way?

Mostly yes.
My first load of models really helped me get to grips with the 3d space.

I've already started designing two other mechs that will share the same style. I hope to make a short video with them maybe.

if im not mistaken the beackdrop is earth and ur macha is flying into the darkside of the orbit so ya the lighting would be from behind wich would enhance the glow brightnes and attenuation more. this would give it a "mech initiate battle mode" feel

Ah yeh I know the lighting is in the wrong area. Just trying to get the reflections right ^^. Thanks for the tips mate

i say 25% more reflection... like a luster of a car..... and move the light behind.... and then change the ambiance to a cooler bluish tone for the twilight atmosphere

naw... i would say give it more reflection and more specularity and the light is wrong. you need the lighting from behind the mecha as you can see the brighter part of ur backdrop is from behind not in front.
