I purchased the silicone and pigments from smoothon.com. The clay and plaster to make the sculpt was purchased from an ordinary craft store

Ah so you first made a model to apply the makeup? and is there any store that sells them (not online)?

Yes I sculpted the piece in clay before making a copy in silicone. And the silicone I use is only purchasable online, it can be pretty expensive though. Between the silicone itself, the pigments, the paint (if you buy it, its not necessary but it really helps) and the silicone adhesive (I find liquid latex works just as well if you want to save money). If you buy the trial size of the silicone and the pigments, it can come to about 60 dollars, and thats not including shipping. Not to mention the trial size won’t last very long depending on how much you use. And the gallon unit of Dragon Skin costs about 180 dollars :/ If you’re in need of something like this, but want to save some money I’d do homemade gelatin prosthetic. It’s pretty similar to silicone, it’s edges, unlike silicone, can even be slightly dissolved with With Hazel for a nice even and blended look. Depending on where and how much to the materials you get, Β Don’t see it costing more than 30-35 dollars. Amazon even sells a Gallon unit of the unfalvored gelatin powder for 20 dollars! There’s many videos on youtube that can teach you the recipe and how to do it, plus the materials needed for gelatin can be purchased in grocery stores and pharmacies versus having to shop online!

Well the best brand to use would be the Nox Gelatin. One or two boxes should do. The best thing about it is that it can be melted and reused unlike silicone.Β
