Her problem comes when her arrogance rears its ugly head, she’s quick to cut people down for extremely petty reasons.

Superpowers:
Kitsunebi/Fox Fire/Pyrokinesis: Manipulation of a ghostly white-blue flame, it behaves like normal fire but this particular flame is much more devastating to the paranormal.
Drinking sake (a strong Japanese alcohol made from rice) adds a power boost to this ability, however she crashes a lot sooner
Kitsune no Me/Fox Eyes/Supernatural Sight: The ability to see things in the otherworldly plane (i.e demons in disguise, ghosts). This also bleeds into her other senses, such as smelling sulfur or hearing voices
Ofuda/Gofu/Paper charms: These charms have several uses, most common being defense and exorcisms
Bombs: Either instant or timed, bomb ofuda explode in kitsunebi
Barriers: These ofuda can keep something in or out; a complicated version of a barrier charm can cast an illusion, used to hide something or confuse an opponent
Exorcism: Tagging these ofuda on a possessed being or object can drive out the possessor
Enchanted Parasol: This parasol allows her to glide great distances, create a personal shield and can be used as a club/bat-like melee weapon.
Supplements to superpowers:
Immunity to fire/extreme heat/cold: The starball in Lei grants her constant homeostasis in extreme weather as well as protection from any kind of fire
Other Fire Manipulation: With more concentration and energy required, Lei can also use fire that is not her own, however it leaves her much more drained afterwards
Emotion/Aura Reading: Her “Fox Eyes” ability allows her to see the souls inside living beings, from there she was get information such as emotion and supernatural attributes

Aquatic Environments: Being around big bodies of water drains Lei’s powers, bringing them to about half as efficient as they should be

Life
Leiko Ara was born to two well-off socialites, they divorced shortly after Lei was born and she fell under the custody of her father, Ryuu Ara. He and an infant Leiko packed up and left for the United States. Lei would never met her mother throughout her childhood and the circumstances of behind the divorce would remain nebulous for just as long.
But besides this, Leiko was pampered, almost spoiled rotten by her father. Lei became his pride and joy; she did exceedingly well in her studies, a genius at mathematics, and was always a popular student for both her good looks and charisma. Her father hammered the idea of Lei succeeding over his hotel chain in her, a future she found boring, but she accepted it.
However, there was always a part of her life that Lei could not ignore, the strange occurrences that dotted her life. She had ghost perception and at times exhibited features that were clearly belonging to that of a canine. Leiko learned to integrate these events into her daily life, but was reasonably curious on where it had come from. Her father did his best to soothe Lei’s questions, but kept his answers ever vague. What was always made obvious to Lei was that it was her mother to blame.
But Leiko didn’t truly try to search into her history until an altercation with a disgruntled student had caused Lei to defend herself with a sudden burst of blue-white flame. The other student was not hurt, but a few well placed bribes kept her from ever talking of the event. Ryuu tried to convince Lei to sweep it under the rug as well, but Lei could no longer try to ignore her oddities.
She practiced her newfound pyrokineses, despite her father’s open disapprovement, and dug through the inter webs for answers. What she found was a nearby shop for the occult and promptly made her way to it. She meets the owner of the store, a homomagi named Charles Jenson, who at one glance reveals that Lei’s soul is not one of a human. Instead, it seemed to be replaced by one of a spirit fox, a kitsune. Charles, intrigued, offers to help Lei out and explore her abilities in exchange for being able her study her predicament.
Lei eventually brings her training to the streets of New York, habitually visiting haunted sites and slowly building up a reputation as a local exorcist under the moniker, Kitsune
Turning Point:
Present Life: Lei spends her time pouring over spell books and learning the ways of supernatural combat. Her relationship with her father becomes increasingly strained as she does, so she opts to keep her studies a secret.
Future: About a year down the line, Lei runs into a secret ops team of teens as they’re tracking down the sorceress, Circe. She becomes particularly involved with the team speedster, Kid Flash, and after joining up with them to take down Circe, Kid tries to convince her to join the “Team.” She was reluctant at first, Lei didn’t plan on taking her abilities to such an extent, but an conversation gone awry with Ryuu causes her to join out of spite.
Trivia
Lei’s fighting style has a very distinct “dance” vibe to it, which can be both very confusing and very entertaining
Lei has good leadership potential, if not for her massive ego.
Living up to her codename, Lei relies heavily on trickery and thinking outside the box. She’ll do anything to win.
Leiko has a near irrational fear of dogs, it’s not until she meets Charlie that they learn the reason for that is her fox soul, who see dogs as their predator.
With her being a pyro, one would think she’s got an above average body temperature. In fact, the more she uses her fire, the colder her hands get.
She was a massive bully before she discovered her pyrokinesis and was the reason why the student had attack her in the first place. Lei still has some of those roots, even after meeting the Team, but they’re quick to stomp that out of her.
While being a bit of a health nut, she eventually develops the habit of eating chicken whizzees when stressed, influenced by Wally
