Description
493rd FS F-15C landing at RAF Lakenheath a few minutes behind the deployed F-22 Raptors. 84-0010 doesn't get out much, as I hardly ever see it during my numerous trips over, which given the jets age (Fiscal Year 1984 order) isn't surprising. '0010 is one of quite a few 493rd jets that carry a victory star under the cockpit, although most were achieved when flown by other units in the 1991 Gulf war, Lakenheath was still flying F-111F's back then. The star is for a Sukhoi Su-22 kill in March 1991, when operated by the then 53rd TFS out of Bitburg, Germany.
