Bridges like these, hold so much beauty.

Love this in B/W too.

I will post both versions in time..

Β It's a beautiful piece of architecture, in stark contrast to the modern concrete bridge behind it which is the A68 main route to Edinburgh

It is indeed, beautiful Architecture.

Yes, I know what you are saying there - I do hate so much, when beauty is ruined or could be ruined. You have shot this well enough though, to make the other barely visible.

I love the colour of the stone in Scotland.. Something you don't see around England so it always surprises me

Yes, I know what you mean there.

Also, although in ways, Edinburgh Architecture is very similar to that in London, it seems to have more detail, seems more intricate too, on much of it. The Scott Monument for instance and places up in the Old Town have amazing architecture.

Did you visit the Old Town?

I also love the places in the little back streets behind Princes Street - there is just so much in Scotland.

I was only in Edinburgh one afternoon.. I could do with a long weekend there at least..Β

Β I did go up on Calton Hill which is a wonderful location

Ah what a shame. So you were near Holyrood Palace and Scottish Parliament - near the Royal Mile etc too.

Is lovely there. :-0

Yes, Edinburgh alone needs a good bit of time spent there and even then, is never enough either, unfortunately, like all those gorgeous places.

I was interested in all of it. I walked around the graveyard to just look and see what was what - not in a gruesome way, just intrigued.
