Wonderful image, the atmosphere is pure stillness and quiet. Love it.

There are times when nature just opens up an says 'Photograph me now!' and you can do no wrong because it's just a big buffet of great shots. This was one of those times. This was also the days when my commute allowed me a life outside work and I could actually stop on the way to grab an opportunity like this. Taken about 6.30 in the morning, just outside the town where I live, on the way to work. Good days... I'm very glad you like it.

Strange how photos tell their story, but you can both feel the perfect circumstances and your own inspiration just by looking at that photo. For myself I've found that the most important part is how I feel myself. If I am inspired, photos get better. And regardless of how beautiful a scene is, if I feel bad inside the photo usually turns out bad. Don't ask me how it works.

I agree, inspiration certainly plays a huge part. Sometimes I see something and it goes 'click' inside and I know this is going to work. Then sometimes there just isn't that click and whilst the picture may be ok, it's never great.

This image is pure perfection. It's icredible. Fore-, middle- and background do not compete, they totally work together and they do it so gracefully I'm at a loss of words. The colors are absolutely harmonious imo and the mist creates quite the additional mood. Fantastic. I have no idea of how much is post edited, if at all, but anyway, it works. Extremely well. It almost looks like a screencap from an arcadian fantasy game and I'm having a hard time not to want to use it in a render in Caspar David Friedrich style. Ahh. But no worries, I've got too much respect and don't think it's appropriate to ask, so I just mention how inspiring it is to me.

I really don't mind if people want to use my images in photo manipulations and renders, as long as they ask first and credit me. Another of my landscape shots have been used a lot for some reason. If you want to use Morning secrets or anything else, feel free and if you need a larger file, let me know.

There wasn't much post processing here. When it comes to my photos I'm strangely conservative, perhaps too much so. It was a lucky moment. I saw the scene as I drove to work, had my camera handy and snapped a few shots. The morning sun and mists did the rest. I'm very pleased you like it. and thank you for the kind comment.

I love misty landscapes! I like the framing and how you've composed the image to draw the eye into the scene.

Thank you again! I'm so glad you liked it. Yes mist adds a certain magic to the world. Almost anything looks interesting when wreathed in mist. I'm usually very fussy with composition although it's hard to believe when looking at my paintings. I get sloppy then.

I really love the ethereal quality of this picture. The sepia tones really work here.

It was a bit of a magic moment and the more welcome since I was on my way to work. It's funny how it all came out sepia. The dense mist kind of dulled not only the light but the colours too. I'm very glad you liked it.

Yeah, I laughed a lot when in Newgrange, the last day before leaving, the guide told us that the entrance is set so to let the SUNLIGHT enter the tomb only on december 21 for 15 minutes... I thought to myself 'How can Irish people possibly know that there's a yellow ball called Sun in the sky if they never see it?'

True, sometimes you end up feeling like a blind cave dwelling salamander, all pale and damp. Maybe in the days of Newgrange there was more sun.

The mist clinging to the water like a lacy shawl, seeking out the land with long tendrils that curl around the trunks of trees. This is gorgeous and wistful and melancholy all at once.

A poetic comment for my picture. Thank you. Yes there is a certain melancholy to misty days, even when the sun is shining.

Fantastic atmosphere you've captured here. Makes me wish I was sitting in a little foldaway chair on the bank, watching the sun rise. And that blanket of fog...like a soft doona about to be throw off any minute now...

It was interesting how the mist sort of poured off the fields and into the river. You want magic, there's nothing like a spot of mist. Thank you so much. Glad you liked.

How beautiful! Reminds me why autumn is my favorite time of year, you get great misty shots like this. Very serene and relaxing, I'd love to sit at that river bank for a while...

Aw thank you!

It does look very autumn like but I actually took the picture in July on my way to work in the morning. Then again, Ireland seems stuck in a sort of perpetual spring/autumn season anyway. We rarely get extremely cold, or extremely hot weather and early July this year was miserable. Later though we got some hot sunny weather, the first in years.

It's a lovely place and luckily our landlord's estate has the river as one of it's boundaries so it's just a short stroll for us to go there.

This is gorgeous. I love misty, foggy days... they always give the illusion that there's something magical lurking just beyond your range of vision. I like how the background here has sepia tones, which makes the trees almost feel like they're in the background of an old photograph.

Yes mist makes even the mundane look magical and mysterious. The early morning sun kindly provided the sepia tones. Thank you!
