When I was very young, after I woke up or before I went to sleep I would quite often make myself a cocoon out of my duvet, trying to seal myself inside my duvet as much as I could so that I couldn’t really breathe very well, or was at least very hot inside. I was an incredibly imaginative kid and I’d imagine that I was in the process of being born. However I wasn’t being born from a womb, I’d imagine I was being born from a kind of weird white shell in a white lab where lots of others were being born at the same time as me. I’d very slowly start to escape from my “womb” opening my duvet up tiny bits at time, allowing a tiny bit of air in and making myself really gasp for the air. It’s odd because as a kid I wasn’t really thinking about the idea of asphyxiation and indeed I’d doubt at that age I even knew the word, but I was definitely experimenting with breath play and making myself deliberately have not as much oxygen as I needed and I liked doing this. I’d do it very slowly and gap by gap till I was fully “born” out of my duvet. It never really occurred to me when I was younger how odd this habit was and I hadn’t actually thought about it for years till I remembered it the other day.Related content

"Butterfly Sindrome" . . . as one of my friends calls it when apply'd to Beautiful Women.
Though it becomes Dragonfly if apply'd to a plain women or just a Guy though I always thought it was interesting as an Idea in Art.
But . . . The whole birth or breaking out ideal is a theme I've found in a lot of art on DA.

That's what I loved the most about this project! As soon as I started to talk to people about these weird kinda of butterfly syndrome habits, I found out so many people have this kind of thing. It felt like a secret shared - something you think is really odd is actually very human!

I think it's all part of the learning process =] I don't delete older stuff from my gallery because I see it as my roots and I still love it even if it's terrible becausw it's a part of me!

I did something similar as a kid. I'd wrap myself up as tight as I could in my blankets and sheets, tight enough that I couldn't move and the only way out was to roll around (usually ended up on the floor) I think I was imagining what an attack from a Lethifold would be like (creature only mentioned in "Magical Creatures and Where to Find Them" A Harry Potter supplement book)

Most of us who do the various "risque" sort of play now showed signs of it when we were younger, so it makes sense. As kids, we don't think about it, and everyone passes it off as harmless (what they know about anyway). It's funny how that stuff is the beginning steps to BDSM, voyeurism, etc for us in later life, huh.

Indeed! The deeper I got into my project this past year the more I remembered weird habits I'd have as a kid that were so showing signs of me being into this kind of thing way before I was even aware it existed! It's funny how these things happen isn't it? Yet I've found with the majority of people I've discussed it with, they also had odd habits as kids - it's a totally normal thing to do as a kid. I found out even my mum and dad used to do weird things like hold their breath before bed time and things!
Haha, and thankie, once again! 
And trust me, it WAS sweaty hah! I think I had about 7 or 8 layers on there and it was ridiclously hard to rip off, and I was sooo hot by the time I finally got it all off!
