Description

I've been working on a Native American themed team for the past few months, and sat down to finish it up last night. I named them The Nation as they are members from several Native American tribes across the United States, and it was really tough to pick out of the rich history across the nations.

Starting from top left, and working left to right:

Star Child, from the Hopi Nation, can fly and emit energy beams from her hands and eyes. She often talks to herself and states that she is talking with the other star children as they have been awakened to witness the emergence of the Fifth World.

Rainbow Crow, from the Lenape Nation, was accepted to MIT through a scholarship after graduating high school at 16. He’s an engineering savant who created a flight suit but returned to his people with the suit instead of seeking profit from the government and military.

Amarok, from the Inuit Nation, is the hunter of the team and has heightened senses and reflexes. Amarok does not like to be a part of the group as a whole, and often retreats to his own area to seek solitude. He does find strength in numbers however, and tolerates the other members.

Deer Woman, from the Sioux Nation, is the leader of the team and truly appears to be a magical being. She is wise beyond her years, has enhanced strength and speed, and the glowing horns on her forehead appear to be the source of her power.

White Bison, from the Pequot Nation, was born with a light gray skin color and horns. Instead of being shunned as a birth defect, he was revered by his people as a sacred event. As he got older, he gained in stature and strength till he grew to reflect his namesake, White Bison.
