Description
Designed for use as a Surface-to-Orbit Starfighter and for use in Clone Wars Era hanger facilities or vessels that lacked TIE Fighter Racks as the TIE Solar only required a simple cradle to make up for it's lack of landing gear, the TIE Solar is partially based off of the TIE Lunar as it uses the same Folding Wings as the more advanced craft. The TIE Solar lacked shields and a Hyperdrive like most craft in the TIE Series but like many in the series it do possess the classic twin laser cannon, it's folding wings was the main game changer for it's pilots as it proved to be a superior dogfighter in comparison to the TIE/ln when it had it's wings folded. The Use of S-Foils did come at the cost of requiring more maintenance but the design had been made by Sienar Fleet Systems with the input of Lord Vader to be easy and simple to perform upkeep or repair on, so unlike some S-Foil using craft the TIE Solar was anything but a hanger queen.
