Inspirations: Minawa Touya - Due to his prowess in bending his ancestor to his will. This is more of a secret adoration due to the status this person acquired, traitor. Still the idea of becoming more powerful than the voice whispering to him from the mask is… nearly intoxicating.
Life Goals: Kizen would do almost anything to find a place to belong. Be it among the living or the deceased, his ancestors. He knows that perhaps his legacy may lie in his wake, at his wake, or with his (possible) eventual children.
Personality:
Minawa Kizen comes off as a soft spoken, kind young man. He seems to take a risks that he hasn’t methodically calculated the outcomes of. However, this does not dampen his ambition and his motivations to be better, greater than those around him may believe him to be. He trusts easily, which has likely shot him in the foot more than once. Even though he trusts too easily, he also trusts deeply. His trust is given very freely, often thought by others foolishly. His philosophy is “I trust people until they give me a reason not to. After that it’s difficult to make me trust you again.”

Kizen does help as often as he can, often going out of his way to aid those in need. He considers this the most basic kindness a shinobi can offer. He’s very sympathetic, sharing in other’s sorrows and joys. If even an acquaintance is having a bad day, they can expect to have a visit from the man, even if it’s just for a short while.

Kizen is a gentle soul though, despite his desire to overcome his mask. He desires companionship, and seeks out friends, preferring a small group of close friends over a large group, despite his friendly and altruistic nature. “I’d rather have four big pieces than one hundred small.”
Backstory:
Kizen grew up in a shadow, literally. Constantly over shined by his classmates, and his parent’s lofty ideals weighed down on him for much of his young life. His parents were kind, on the outside. If you ask him, really he can’t say much for his relationship with them. They didn’t let him die, what else are parents supposed to do? Once Kizen made his mask, and contacted the spirit within, he became rather obsessed, much to his father’s terror. His father knew the traditions of their family but still the fear of his children willingly giving themselves over to possession terrified him to the point that he forbid Kizen from studying the mask until he was older.
This didn’t stop Kizen though and he would sneak out to train with the mask, and his ancestry. His one confidant is his sister, though he isn’t sure how much of his secret training she believes. He desires nothing more than to be needed, wanted, somehow by someone.
