Description Okay, I like this one. I did this as part of the NCSU Design Camp over the summer. I stayed up in studio until 3 that morning working on this one (unusually and unparalleledly late). It shows an empty lot in the area near NCSU that the group was given to design into a small park. there is an entrance on the street-side (bottom) and the alley-side (top). the fountain has a tree on top and empties into a small creek that flows under plexiglass underneath the path. At night, lamps would shine from under the water to light the path and cast the watery reflections onto the undersides of the trees.

The drawings on the side represent cross-sections of the park to show topographic changes and scale.

I put lotsa thought into this one. feel free to ask questions.

I really like this! ^^

Nice work! I have NEVER seen this kind of technique before! And I love it! You displayed many logical areas(even though it's just a small park! x3) and it covers very fine details!

Nice work! I'm putting this one in my favorites! <3

Keep it up!

How would you discourage algae grow beneath the plexiglass?

I love this!
I would never in a million years have thought to have a water feature flow underneath a walkway like this. If this was ever created into a park or something, I would really want to go and see it, especially during the evening/night hours.

Well done!

I really liked but I wonder ..arent you scared that someone can steal your project..? I would be a bit afraid.

I'm not afraid. I like the idea I made, and if someone stole it and made it, I would be encouraged that it was well thought out enough to actually be made. Because I'm a person with no experience, my work wouldn't be made anyway. Someone taking it and making it would just make my designs more credible because I have proof that I created it first.

Hmm, pretty nice concept. But where were the crossections made?

GatesuRyu In reply to ruttian [2008-04-07 04:40:14 +0000 UTC]

the top two are made even with the bottom of the section views. the bottom one is just a cross-section of the fountain with the tree on it.

I remember this one. Really nicely done. Sorry I can't really give critique, it's a quarter 'till 3 in the morning and I really don't know architecture. =/

I would like, critique, since it's 'encouraged', but I really have no basis for what I would say.
