I don't have a great deal of insightful commentary to give about this, I think the story pretty much speaks for itself. But it's interesting to note that the first draft was basically just a montage of Jaylen failing in slapstick-y ways (basically the earlier parts of the comic), but that was difficult to sustain for a whole issue - Having a definitive moment where she comes out on top seemed like a natural addition.
