work i made in 2004. i found it lying around. there are a few mistakes in it that im sure you can see. the materials are mostly things you can find at shopko or walmart. nothing special. im in sore need of artistic guidence so feel free to decimate. ;Materials used
Pencils: Pentel 0.5 click pencil (dunno the make or model), and a bic 7.0 click pencil (the really cheep kind)
Pens :Millenium 05 & 01, sakura pigma micron 005, sakura pigma brush black & red, sanford uni-ball Vision Elite, and some zebra gell pen that i threw away alredy.
other:uh, some fat white eraser from high school

I like the simplicity of it combined with the block colour. I think sometimes people overcomplicate things and it can ruin the effect if they bungle it in their attempts the make it more 'sophisticated'.

i really like the solid and clean lineart ... the color's really nice too. :3

heh thank you. when i draw the lines, i spend a lot of time fine tuning them. i tried real hard with that one to keep the lines the same as the original drawing. its hard cause im anal about the details.if a line is a hair off i have to fix it. and then i end up with some lines being too fat. 
when i reduce the image size it removes all the little imperfections though. i know how much of a pain it is to look at an image thats humungous on the screen so i usualy reduce it till its just inside the screen width-wise.
baah i talk too much. man, i havent produced somthing of that calibur for a loong time. ill have to see what i can do to fix that.

well sometimes patience with yourself can come in really handy. :3
y'see, i'm the exact opposite. i don't like spending a hideously long amount of time on my art ... which is probably why its not the best it could be. XD but i guess scribbly is my style! ^3^

my original lines tend to be really scribbly as well. i use my eraser to fine tune though after i put the lines down. to me its simply drawing with the eraser.
