Description Small light source hanging from a pendulum was swung in front of the camera lens to create the patterns. Known as a harmonograph. Colours added with photographic gels over the camera lens.

Looks good. But hey im wondering abit about the techinc side, how do you get the background so dark? and everything just to look so smooth?

you need to be in a dark room... preferably one that doesn't have a white ceiling It takes a fair bit of stuffing around to get it working... i little maglite without the reflector on the end on some fishing line works well. If you do that, make sure you use some way of attaching the line to the center of the maglite.. if its just taped down one side, the maglite will start spinning and wobbling. (although that could maybe make some cool patterns)

hahaha okkkey yeahh I get the consept! but still dont get how the background doesnt get exposed at all at what.. 150 seconds? I guess you've cleaned up the background in photoshop? cause I mean it just cant be that plain black

Not any cleaning as far as the background goes. I was stopped down a fair way, so yeah, its possible to do it... There was some adjustments in colour in camera raw thats about it.
