Looks very good. You never know with Ben Affleck playing Batman. He just MIGHT pull it off. I was very nervous when I had heard that Anne Hathaway was playing Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises movie and she did a pretty good. job. I'm giving him a chance even though I'm very nervous about him. For the sake of the fans, he BETTER pull it off. There's a lot of money riding on this.

I think Simon Pegg said it best: “I can totally see why people are upset about the tall, handsome, lantern jawed, talented, dark haired actor playing Bruce Wayne. I mean whoa, what a weird choice.” He'll do fine. Honestly, I'm glad that Bale isn't reprising the role...I mean, I love him as an actor and he made a great Bruce Wayne, but his Batman voice was a bit silly. I'm hoping he has some kind of voice modulator in the movie, like the one Green Arrow uses in Arrow and Smallville.
Here's my thing: the casting in EVERY Zack Snyder movie is ALWAYS great, even if it's not overly faithful to the source material. I mean, the guy cast Gerard Butler and Michael Fassbender when they were unknowns. Jeffrey Dean Morgan as The Comedian, Jackie Earle Hayley as Rorschach, Lena Headey as Queen Gorgo...the list goes on and on. I wouldn't have picked any of those people for those roles (except for Gerard...I love the Atilla TV movie he starred in way back when, and Atilla the Hun isn't a huge jump from Leonidas), but they all worked.

I think he'll do a damn fine job as Batman. He's proven himself as both an actor and director, and this guy can't wait to see it.

He is according to the Man of Steel fan newsletter (yes, I am that much of a nerd...). At the very least, I know that Snyder and Affleck have already had several meetings about character and such, so he'll definitely have a hand in creating the story on some level. I really hope he has a hand in the final draft of the script, because his dialogue is always spot-on.

Nah! If Batman survived Clooney, he'll certainly survive Affleck! I'm just hoping that the costume is black and gray with white eyes. I can't take another all-black Batman costume.

I personally think its more then just a bit ambitious to give the part of the Dark Knight to a guy who so over minimalized a character as complex and interesting as DareDevil.

Why do you feel like he minimalized Daredevil? The script was a little cheesy and the director has had a pretty bad track record since then. Plus, if you watch the commentary, the studio was very invasive on that movie with tons of stupid ideas (they wanted DD's suit to be black, and they thought he should wear a ninja turtle headband). I feel like Affleck did the best he could with what he had to work with. I mean, I'm a little dissappointed that my man Joe Manganiello didn't get the part, but it could have been worse.

In most of the Comic books Daredevil actually has a lot going on in his life;
And for his city where he resides he is truly the Bruce Wayne or Tony Stark of his Area.
Now Mind you I agree with what you had to say about the script being cheesy and the director having a bad track record.
As to did Affleck do the best he could with what he had?
I would say NO! based on some of his other work
Almost every single time I have seen one of his films
the character part is done in a half-ass manner
Examples are: Mall Rats,(plays an asshole in this film) Town(plays a bully in here), Gigli,(this film did so bad that it got 5+ razzberries) ( Good Will Hunting(the majority of good acting in this film was done by Matt Damon)Clerks 2, (Affleck is truly annoying in this film) Jersey Girl (sucked big time!)Paycheck (title ripped off from a MeL Gibson film)The Sum of All Fears (this film only did well because of the book's author and its crossover capability not because of Affleck's believability in his ability to character act)Changing Lanes(Samuel L. Jackson to the Rescue) Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes to save the day)Dogma (somebody forgot to tell Affleck that unless the other characters who can see him are around that no one can see him and that actually would have made for a better film. ) Armageddon(even Bruce Willis got pissed off on set at Affleck and said as much in an interview) Chasing Amy a sequel to mall rats (Affleck is still annoying in this film.) Glory Daze(even spike lee was not all that crazy about Affleck)School Ties (Brendan Fraiser to save the day)Buffy the Vampire Slayer( the film was pure cheese and thankfully Affleck has very few lines hence the reason he was good in this film)
