Description This is Asuka from Neon Genisis Evangelion, drawn in my style. It doesn't exactly look like her, but that's sort of the point.

This was drawn for a friend of mine, Drew, who I'm trying to convince to come over here from Fanart Central. I have a picture of Rei in the works that matches this one. I was going to put them up together, but I think it'll be fine having them up seperately.

Ultra-sekerific. ^_^. I just made up a new word, just for you!

I really really like this, it's sexy, suggestive, but not blatant. The sketchy lines give this a soft atmosphere. You have a way of drawing lips that I really like, they remind me of Nicole Kidman's lips. One suggestion for the shininess on the black areas (that's shiny leather right?), try to use less "smooth" highlights to show that the folds in the black areas are real and not plasticky.. for the lack of a better word. I always liked Asuka. ^_^

I'm always looking to improve, especially when it comes to drawing folds in fabric... It's one area in which I truly have no idea what I'm doing ^_^;;;; So honestly, thank you for the advice!! I will definitely try that (the "less smooth highlights" thing)!!

I like the way you shaded her clothes. Proportions look great as well. I think you should shade her hand to match the rest of the artwork . Asuka's such a hottie in your style ^_^ I wonder how you'd draw Shinji then Great~

You're right about the hand, though. Asynjur mentioned it, too, and once it was pointed out I wondered how I missed it!

But I've already flattened the image (lineart & all) so the shading that I've added isn't much of a help. But still, it's better than nothing! I'm uploading the edited version now. Well, trying to, anyway... DA's having problems again! *sigh*

you can try to marquee the hand area then shading it... so that the colors would go over the lines...

You're absolutely right about the hand! Joyce mentioned it, too... I don't know how I missed it! So I'm uploading an edited version... I'd already flattened the image, so wasn't able to do a very big job, but it's still an improvement! Thanks again for the advice!
