It's actually the custom (and popular) hairstyles that are the detailed ones. xD The official styles are so flat. Which is a little surprising considering a lot of the other sprites (monsters and such) are so amazing.

Hahah, you have such a bad view of the official hairstyles. I actually think a lot of the custom hairstyles are overdone. I liked that most of the official ones were mostly hairstyles that could actually exist in real life.

xD Well, I don't have a bad opinion of them per se. I realize that in order for the hairstyles to fit most/all headgears, they had to keep them relatively simple. But after having seen them 9001 times, they've just become a bit of an eyesore to me, even if they are more realistic than some of the custom ones. xD;
