Aelita Hopper*Elated that soon we will be together, but I still tend,
To be filled with sorrow until I see you again...*
Costume Debuted at I-Con26. Kat is sporting my Aelita costume that I made in about a month (Not including the boots which I sort of did over a longer time out of dread)
Kat was much more relaxed and comfortable during this session and it definitely shows in her modeling. ^.^
P.S. I love how striking the costume looks in front of this blue background and bench.

Heh That's cool! Gotta agree with you, the background definitly does it good, it almost looks like feathers flying around her. Nice sewing skills too, looks very much in character. And while I wouldn't be caught dead wearing pink, Kat looks wonderful. Kudos to both you, and the model.

Thank you. The only reason why I sewed it was because Kat said that she would actually wear it. I said to myself... "Wait! Kat will wear a dress? AND A PINK ON?!? I GOTTA SEE THAT!"

Yes, I welcome comments about my art work, which is the costume that I am displaying, not my model. You have already told me in all of my last postings that my model is imperfect. The model is human and not a cartoon character so this is an obvious statement, not an opinion. Since you have already stated the obvious in my last two deviants, you don't have to repeat yourself. I got the idea the last two times.
Since I designed the costume to fit my sister for Halloween, I can't have someone smaller model it without it looking bulky and I don't really know any girls who are 14 years of age to model for me. Like I said before, I do the best that I can with the materials that I am given.
If you would like to comment on the costume, go right ahead. I already know the wig is flawed. As I told everyone else who commented on it, I don't have to money to buy a better one and can't find one the right color. But since I did not design the wig, it is a bit irrelevant. I am however in the process of finding the right color. Hopefully one day I will have it.
P.S. My identical twin sister, Kat, A.K.A Son-Neko, personally apologizes for not looking exactly like Aelita.

You know, not to eavesdrop on the other conversation about the wig but...I know there's a company that sells a "punk style" wig that's layered with light and bubblegum pink hair...I used it for my own Aelita costume last year.

If you could get the info for me as to where to get it, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure my mom's hair dresser would not mind cutting another wig for us ^.^ I think she got a kick out of it.
Unrelated: Kat and I once saw "Aelita" in a Michael's! My sister and I were so tempted to follow her ask her where she got her wig because it was such a nice color and right on the mark. She was even in a skirt, it was so convincing, we joked saying how we thought she was materialized Aelita.
Long short of the story is, we lost her in the parking lot (still stuck on line paying for supplies when she left the store)! High time we got outside, she was gone, I had to resist the urge to yell, "AELITA!! Where are you! We need info!" Maybe I should have tried, "Hey girl in the pink wig! Where are you!"
