Description

I made this one to answer Alberto's call for an Arboreal Cephalopod .

Hope you like it; I'm not good as you in literary matters

But It has been fun indeed trying.

Some description:

Name: Bog's Imp

Scientific name: Octopus Mentis Fugax

Habitat: It loves harboring on trees in dark and wet environments like bogs and swamps, even in the darkest areas of forests and jungles.

Time Distance: 100 mln. years in the future.

Creatures from which is evolved: Evolution of a never discarded genetic testing aimed to enhance human's mimic ability.

Some distinctive feature: Shy, elusive and extremely lazy, the Bog's Imp spends most of its time clinged on trees, camouflaged. Despite its ugly look It's almost harmless, as It feeds on negative thoughts like fear, scare, fright, coming from any living creature that comes close enough to be surprised by its sudden apparition (BOO!!).
After that, it uses its great mimic ability to disappear again.
