Yes,Wolf's Rain is one of the deepest and saddest anime series I've ever seen.I also cried,especially when the wolves tried to defend Cheza from Darcia and were defeated.And at the end,of course.Though they had another chance to find the Paradise,the end is very sad.

OMG I ran out of tissues at that scene. The ending was rather bittersweet although they get another chance, you don't know if they truly get happy endings. All in all it was a great series.

Yes,agree.
And we have the same open ending in the Nutcracker Prince.Well,yes,it's clear that Hans and Clara will stay together,but still..The ending is somehow intriguing.As a child I had mixed feelings watching that moment:joy and sadness at the same time.But at the end of Wolf's Rain I felt depressed and even desperate:another chance?

Yean in the NP movie you KNEW they were going to be together. Where in WR you are like "so.... do they get to paradise or what??"

Hate those things!You watch all the series from the beginning up to the end,worrying about the characters,emotionally exhausting yourself.And then-this ambiguous ending!Gosh.Such things really tempts to write the sequel or something to make up for the uncertainty
